Member's Updates

Member's Entries Updates

Just in time for this update, Duncan Richardson writes in with his profile from sunny Barbados. If you knew him, get in touch, particularly Paul Burke... Paul, where are you now (see 2. Memory Lane, below)

Get your profiles up on the site. Just type them out and send them as a word doc attached to an e-mail, to the webmaster, who'll do the rest.

Also, let us have your e-mail address. Remember, if you do not want to use your real e-mail address, we can set you up with an Old Harlovians one (yourname@oldharlovians.co.uk) that automatically forwards e-mails to your real address. There is, of course, no charge for this, so please only ask to use this facility if you want to be super cautious.

New Pics

New archive photographs

Robin Le-Male Fawssett has sent in a pic of the present day site of Harlow College showing the development that replaced it. It seems such a small place now...

Robin has also sent us a photocopy of the original architects ground plan, which reproduces quite well... want to know what might have been? Check it out by clicking this link.

Gordon Kattau writes with a 1954 whole school photo. No names as yet, so any of you that were there then, please identify yourself and e-mail the webmaster

Reunions

Reunion 2003

Late, very late addition to the reunion photos, courtesy of the indefatigable Robin Le Male Fawssett, (the delay was our fault, not his.... Webmaster) please click this link to view these photos.

Reunion 2004

It is not too late to make the effort to attend this year's reunion on 12th June. Several 'new' boys have promised to turn up for the first time... you could too. Last year 4 new boys turned up. Like many of you reluctant ones, they too viewed the Reunion with some misgivings, but they took the plunge and did not regret it. Except, perhaps, Roger Brickwood who immediately elevated himself to the status of survivor and very nearly missed breakfast as a result! All you have to do is get in touch with Michael Dyke and pitch up on the night, bottle of wine in hand and small cheque in pocket!

Be there!

Bits & Pieces

What do you know?

1. Richard Baldry writes in with news of an old boy, Tim Pinney (60's). He managed to get himself expelled it seems and... well read Baldry's report by clicking this link.
(This has been edited to protect him! - Baldry, not Pinney!.... Webmaster.)

2. Memory Lane.

'George' Cronin has written in with an amazing report of how Burke tried to blow up 5b! Reading it, one is amazed that he (and everyone else within rifle/explosion range) got away with it unscathed. Seen in today's climate, it is hard to imagine it happening now without triggering a major alert. Read it for yourself by clicking this link...

Don't forget you can your share memories of your time at Harlow College - good and bad, with the rest of us. Alas, you cannot post automatically... you have to send an e-mail to the webmaster. Please check out the new memories index, so you can see the format the section takes.

What do you know? What do you want us to know? What can you remember?

Want to share a memory?

Tell the webmaster who'll tell everyone else!
