Profiles

Colin Oliver Taylor (left in '64) has been in touch with his profile and some memories of his time at Harlow and is threatening to attend a reunion. Hope he stays away from ladders in the meantime!

Derek Hogg (left in '65), another ex-fireman, has also let us know what happened to him after Harlow and invites all who knew him to give him a ring.

Get your profiles up on the site. Just type them out and send them as a word doc attached to an e-mail, to the webmaster, who'll do the rest.

Memories

Hugh Jones (left in '63) has posted up some memories of his early days at Harlow (Malcom Inskip, where are you now?)...

Have you contributed to the memories section yet? Send them to the webmaster... today.

Names to Faces

Several of you have identified the faces in various photographs previously published. The following have been duly updated, so click on the links if you were there at the time.

1. School Year 1962; 2. staff and teachers from the 50's; 3. Beatty 1957

Also, let us have your e-mail address. Remember, if you do not want to use your real e-mail address, we can set you up with an Old Harlovians one (yourname@oldharlovians.co.uk) that automatically forwards e-mails to your real address. There is, of course, no charge for this, so please only ask to use this facility if you want to be super cautious.

New Pics

New archive photographs

Keith Arthey (left '63) has sent in photos of Beatty House for 1959 and 1961. Check them out if you were in Beatty then. Sorry, but have not yet had time to add name captions. Webmaster

Reunion

Reunion 2005

Bit daft really, but those idiots at the FA chose our Reunion day as the FA Cup Final day. Well, it serves them right that at least 49 people missed the game because they were on their way to Old Harlow! Hugh Jones has sent in his report on the 2005 Reunion in spite of seeing red everywhere... read on.

Phil Alexander has sent some Reunion preview photos whilst we await the official ones from Michael Dyke. To see these first reunion photos, please click this link

Bits & Pieces

Farewell

Michael Dyke sends news of a depressingly long list of Old Boys that will not be turning up at the reunions anymore. For those of you that knew them, pause, if you can, to give them a thought.

Syd Peacock (48-52) Peter Crussell (40-46)
Ray Bailes (44-50) John Graham (36-44)
Michael Renshaw (55-59)

Chris Dadson (left '61) has written in with news of Michael Renshaw and his passing and at his request I include it here. Please click this link to read Chris's message.

R.J. Withers

This one is for the historians amongst you. Most of you will recognise the name of the architect whose original designs for Harlow College can be seen by clicking this link. A relative of his, whilst researching his ancestor, came across our website and has written-in. His comments can be viewed by clicking this link.

What do you know?

Don't forget you can share your memories of your time at Harlow College - good and bad, with the rest of us. Alas, you cannot post automatically... you have to send an e-mail to the webmaster. Please check out the new memories index, so you can see the format the section takes.

What do you know? What do you want us to know? What can you remember?

Want to share a memory?

Tell the webmaster who'll tell everyone else!
